Tammy Westergard, MLS, CWDP, is a workforce development strategist and library leader serving as Senior Workforce Development Librarian-in-Residence with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, where she leads the Individual Career Mapping (ICM) initiative, an innovative model that uses libraries, immersive technologies, and workforce partnerships to advance labor-market literacy and expand pathways to meaningful work.
Her connection to the Czech Republic grows through sustained collaborations with Czech educators, technologists, and civic institutions. She participates in exchanges and leadership dialogues across the Czech Republic’s library and innovation networks, delivers keynote remarks to national library leaders, and engages with organizations including the Aspen Institute Central Europe and the Václav Havel Library in Prague. These partnerships focus on the role of libraries in upskilling workers for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and strengthening democratic civil society.
Through her service with the Václav Havel Library and the Aspen Institute Central Europe network, Westergard works to deepen transatlantic collaboration around education, civic responsibility, and democratic values.
