Truth Prevails
“Truth Prevails” was an unforgettable evening that brought together extraordinary people united by a shared belief in the power of truth. We are profoundly thankful to our honorees and presenters whose words moved and inspired us. Their passion and integrity remind us that standing up for what’s right continues to shape a better, freer world.
We had the immense honor of presenting the legendary Joan Baez with the VHC Lifetime Achievement Award. Her presence filled the room with so much grace, courage, and inspiration.
We were also very grateful to welcome Belarusian President-in-exile Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, who accepted the Disturbing the Peace Award on behalf of imprisoned writer Maksim Znak, reminding us of the power of freedom and solidarity.
The evening also included a special moment where Henry Kallan was presented with the BBLA Award for Unparalleled Service to the Czech and Slovak Community.
A beautiful tribute came from Steve Earle, who sang for Joan and gave the evening an unforgettable touch.
It was a truly wonderful evening — thank you to everyone who joined us and made this night even more special.
