Introducing Havel 90: A Nationwide Celebration of Václav Havel’s Legacy

As we approach what would have been Václav Havel’s 90th birthday, we are delighted to launch Havel 90, a new platform dedicated to bringing together events and initiatives inspired by Havel’s life, work, and enduring values across the United States.

The platform serves as a central hub for discussions, performances, exhibitions, film screenings, podcasts, educational programs, and community gatherings that reflect Havel’s commitment to democracy, human rights, civic responsibility, and freedom.

Organizations, institutions, community groups, and individuals are invited to submit their own Havel-inspired events and become part of this nationwide celebration. By bringing these activities together in one place, Havel 90 aims to create a living map of the many ways Havel’s ideas continue to resonate today.

We invite you to explore upcoming events, discover opportunities to participate, and submit your own initiatives at www.havel90.com

“Freedom and democracy include participation and therefore responsibility from us all.” — Václav Havel

Together, we can honor Václav Havel’s extraordinary legacy and continue the conversation about the values he championed—values that remain as relevant today as ever.
