This new tapestry designed by Peter Sis, the renowned Czech-born American artist, and woven at Ateliers Pinton in Felletin, France, celebrates the memory of Vaclav Havel. The tapestry will make a stop at Bohemian National Hall on its way around the world to mark Havel@80. The tapestry will arrive from the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and after its exhibition in New York will travel to DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague and then on Strasbourg, where it will be on permanent display in a new building named after Havel. The first Flying Man tapestry by Sis is in Terminal 2 at the Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague.
