
Mr. Shattuck served as vice-chair of Amnesty International USA from 1988 to 1992. He appears frequently in the U.S. and international media as a commentator on international security and human rights. He is the author of three books and many articles on international security, foreign policy, human rights, civil liberties, higher education and public service. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School, M.A. with First Class Honors in International Law from Cambridge University, B.A. Magna Cum Laude from Yale College, and four honorary degrees from Universities in the US and the Czech Republic.
